Abbey

RKL's Buffalo Blizzard Abbey

Abbey was named on the way home from picking her up in South Dakota. We drove through blizzards (both coming and going) near Buffalo WY, and she has a rich buffalo robe color. Abbey is a smaller lab, weighing 52 pounds at 2 years of age. She is the wiggleist (if that is a word)  and  most happy of dogs. Her green eyes shine when she smiles at you. Abbey is a true water dog, often paddling contentedly for an hour or more at a time when we are camping or fishing at Fort Peck reservoir.  She was sired by GMPR RKL's Eye Of The Tiger Rock (see a video of his first bird training in Abbey's gallery) and her dam is CPR Red Labels Miss Independence Liberty,  who has eight GMPR titles between her sire and dam! Abbey came from a litter of eighteen and was very small when we picked her up,( but she melted Neena's heart and still does). She loves nothing more than hitting the field at top speed and locking up on scent. If you check out Abbey's gallery we have posted a video of her sire on his first training hunt with live birds. Both of her parents are used in pheasant guiding operations.
